Lengths and diameters are shown in centimetres. Inches are converted using 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Bangle circumferences are calculated from diameter and rounded to 0.1 cm. These charts help you compare measurements; check the sizes available for your chosen piece on its product page.
Measure for a bracelet
- Wrap a soft tape or narrow paper strip around your wrist where you will wear the bracelet. Keep it snug without pressing into your skin.
- Mark the overlap, lay the strip flat and measure to the mark in centimetres.
- Add around 1–1.5 cm as a starting point for comfortable movement. Compare the result with the bracelet length listed for your design.
- Try a paper loop at that length to judge your preferred fit. Check whether the listed length includes an adjustable extender.
For example: a 16 cm wrist measurement gives a starting bracelet length of around 17–17.5 cm. The width of the piece, the clasp and your preferred fit can affect your choice.
Measure for a slip-on bangle
- Bring your fingers together and tuck your thumb towards your little finger, as if sliding a bangle on.
- Measure around the widest part of your hand and knuckles in this position. This is your hand circumference, rather than your wrist measurement.
- Compare with the inside circumference in the bangle chart. Allow room to slide the bangle on comfortably: a rigid, closed bangle must pass over your hand.
Have a round bangle that fits? Measure straight across its inside opening, excluding the metal thickness. Compare its inside diameter with the chart or the circles in the printable guide.
Hinged bangles, oval bangles & cuffs
A hinged bangle opens around your wrist. Compare its inside dimensions with a similar piece that fits. For an oval bangle, measure both the inside width and inside height; a single round diameter does not describe its opening. Cuff fit also depends on its opening and shape. Avoid bending a rigid piece to change the fit.
